Applicant must be able to provide prompt and effective support to multiple attorneys by performing such tasks as conducting legal research, drafting various legal documents, managing document production, investigating case facts, organizing case files, scheduling appointments, tracking critical deadlines and assisting in trial preparation.
Duties may include:
* Meeting with potential and current clients
* Updating and communicating with clients on the status of their cases
* Creating and managing case files for both pre-suit and litigation cases
* Drafting and/or proofreading correspondences, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
* Scheduling and tracking depositions, mediations, hearings, court deadlines, and other appointments/meetings
* Conducting legal research
* Performing other administrative duties and assignments as required by the managing attorneys
Applicant should possess the following skills:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Lexis/Westlaw
* Ability to multitask
Compensation commensurate with experience.
