Job Summary: We are looking for a paralegal to assist with a large dispossessory caseload in Magistrate Court.
The ideal candidate is organized, diligent, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Objectives: * Track deadlines to ensure legal documents are filed in a timely manner * Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity when dealing with clients and court officials * Maintain strict confidentiality of organizational and client information Responsibilities: * Review and draft routine legal documents * Create and maintain case files * Prepare files for hearings * Communicate with clients and court officials in person, over the phone, and via email * Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments, making photocopies, and compiling documentation Preferred Qualifications: * Experience as a legal secretary, assistant, or paralegal * Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate * Exposure with electronic filings through PeachCourt, Odyssey, and reSearchGA * Notary Public Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.
