John Deere Augusta: Maintenance Technician II As a Maintenance Technician II with John Deere Augusta, you will: Direct, facilitate and perform general maintenance and repair of factory buildings, equipment, and manufacturing execution devices.
This function is also responsible for hazard/risk evaluation procedures for the electrical safety program.
Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following: Provide general leadership to the Maintenance Technicians in their assignments and promote a team environment.
Conducts hazard/risk evaluations for jobs requiring electrical code sign off.
Participating in safety training according to established plant safety policies and procedures.
Provide oversight to outside contractors as they perform and complete maintenance and facility project work.
Conducting special investigations of processes, procedures, systems, or equipment to resolve problems.
Provide guidance in development, building, installation, and maintenance of electronic, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical equipment throughout the plant.
Provide guidance in design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures to support production activities.
Assist in tracking and maintaining all documentation and records for maintenance.
Alignment with all maintenance criteria tracking and responses for JD-QPS.
Participating as (CI) team member of the respective business unit team and may serve in various task force projects.
Works form prints, sketches, wiring diagrams and schematics, manufacturers’ instructions and written or verbal instructions.
Plans own work sequence, selects materials, tools and equipment for job.
Lubricates and cleans equipment and cleans work area.
Performs other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
Types of Machines, Tools and Equipment Used or Operated: Various hand, portable and power tools and equipment common to the job assigned, scaffolds and ladders, hand and power trucks and transporters, testing, checking and measuring equipment and welding and brazing equipment.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a High School Diploma, or G.
E.
D, or National Career Readiness Certificate, or at least 3 years of manufacturing work experience.
Must have electrical certification or journeyperson's card in electrical maintenance or equivalent work experience.
Must have minimum of 6 months proven industrial maintenance experience.
