Responsibilities: Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct pre-job planning based on plans and specifications to determine the tools and materials required Maintain a professional appearance and neat workspace while conducting service calls Communicate effectively with clients or supervisors to provide updates on project status, report issues, and offer recommendations for improvements Accurately install wire, conduit, panel boards, fixtures, devices, boxes, and breakers according to job specifications and NEC Troubleshoot commercial, industrial and residential electrical issues Work independently with an electronic dispatch system utilizing an iPad Maintain accurate records of all electrical work, including repair logs, maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory Proficient with the circuitry of the trade to include power, control, and motor terminations These duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change to meet the priorities and ongoing needs of the company.
Qualifications: Qualifications and Requirements: Requires the ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, technical service manuals, professional publications, instructions, procedures, labels, and gauges Highly proficient in critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution skills Advanced knowledge of OSHA standards and the National Electrical Code Exceptional ability to actively listen and communicate effectively (written, verbal, and nonverbal) Ability to relate and offer exceptional customer service with professionalism and integrity Requires self-motivation and organization High School Diploma or equivalent Technical degree, 3-5 years’ experience, extensive mechanical ability, or a combination of education and/or experience Certifications or experience preferred in the following areas: Journeyman or Master Electrician Card/License OSHA certifications Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb; lift and carry up to 60 lbs, crawl, kneel, push and reach; and use hands to fingers, handle, and feel Work Environment: In performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.
The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
