Assists with orientation and training of WIC staff.
Stays abreast of changes in WIC and communicates changes with other departments and disciplines.
Ensures that all services are provided in a culturally sensitive manner.
Ensures proper security procedures for documentation, and eWIC cards.
Assures compliance with Motor Voter.
Serves as administrative resources consultant to staff to ensure support and assist in maintaining competency with current policy and procedures.
Participates in WIC orientation regarding policies and procedures and assures that orientation is provided in certification, nutrition education, outreach, food delivery, civil rights, and fair housing.
Participates in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating staff development as well as attends training and in-service sessions to maintain current programmatic policy, procedures, and technological information.
Responsible for monitoring identified clinic sites and assessing that local procedures are meeting the Management Evaluation sections for Administrative Policy, Civil Rights/Fair Hearing, and Customer Service/Outreach and provides a written report and follow up to the WIC Program Manager and local staff.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary staff and community partners to support the public health mission by using data analysis to help determine if the community needs are being met.
On a routine basis, attends the regularly scheduled staff, county, supervisory and WIC program manager’s meetings.
Responsible for schedules in SCWIC.
Builds and extends master templates.
Responsible for daily schedule requests.
Builds and extends schedules for clinics.
Adjusts the daily clinic schedules based on the needs of the clinics.
Participates in disaster preparedness during hazardous weather or declaration of an emergency as outlined in the DHEC Emergency Plans, to include staffing of shelters on site or in other areas of the state.
Other duties as assigned include providing WIC certifications, which consists of verifying proof of income, residency, and identification.
Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) year administrative or management experience; or associate degree and two (2) years of administrative or management experience; or a high school diploma and three (3) years of administrative or management experience.

Institutions of higher learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
DRIVING RECORD: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver’s license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
