*Job Description:*
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a corrections facility in Augusta, GA.
As a Corrections RN, you will be responsible for providing quality healthcare services to inmates within the facility.
This is a critical role that requires strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
*Responsibilities:*
* Conduct health assessments and screenings on inmates upon intake
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
* Monitor and address changes in inmate health status
* Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
* Provide health education and counseling to inmates on various health topics
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
* Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care when needed
* Adhere to all healthcare policies and procedures within the corrections facility
*Requirements:*
* Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
* Previous experience in a corrections or similar healthcare setting preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications
* Understanding of and commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards
