Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes or other healthcare settings
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform procedures such as gastric lavage, spinal tap, esthetic laser treatment, and neonatal ventilator management
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on various healthcare topics including family planning, ostomy care, and ambulatory surgery center procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Document patient information accurately and timely
Skills:
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical procedures and treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in medical coding and documentation
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients when necessary
