Job Title: Network Computer Engineer Summary/Objective: Support services shall include, but are not limited to, development of network convergence concept of support (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, NSA-NET); relocation planning for Fort Gordon’s Network Enterprise Center including impacts to personnel, facilities, equipment, and clearance requirements; Installation Campus Area Network (ICAN) analysis; Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy analysis of 7th SC (T) future initiatives and technologies in support of DODIN and Defensive Cyber Operations at Fort Gordon and across CONUS.
Essential Functions: Be familiar with all major network elements and protocols used today within WAN, LAN and Enterprise environments such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, Multicast, Cisco, Brocade, Palo Alto and Juniper hardware, VoIP, Cisco IOS/XR, Juno OS, and other complex network technologies.
Design and support computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), intranets, cloud-hosted environments and other data communications systems in support of the Army’s requirements and goals.
Provide expert technical assistance to team members with high-level system and networking requests.
Design, implement, and test complex infrastructure in support of emerging and current Army needs.
Secure and manage network infrastructures to protect networks, mitigate threats, and reduce costs.

Supervisory Responsibility: None Work Environment: This job operates in a professional classroom and office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install/repair computer equipment.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
Light to moderate lifting is required.
Be able to lift and move electronic equipment in excess of 40lbs in and out of classrooms, labs, and test center.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.
m.
to 4:00 p.
m.
Workdays do not include working or conducting business on Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed closings.
Travel: Will be required to travel 25% of the time, as needed to support this position.
Extended travel requirements to locations within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS) locations.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline Certified in one or more of the following: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP 10+ years of related, progressive technical experience Current DoD SECRET or higher clearance required Strong technical knowledge and confidence in communicating with highly technical audiences Exceptional communication and coordination skills to coordinate at the GS-15/SES and COL/GO levels across Army commands and staffs.
Excellent written and oral communication, analysis, and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment.
