Duties:
- Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules.
- Provide memory care for patients with cognitive impairments.
- Assist with catheter care and other medical procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks as needed.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hospice care and medical documentation is a plus.
- Knowledge of assisted living facilities and the needs of elderly or disabled individuals is beneficial.
