Responsibilities: Physician Liaison Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing quality healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities.

com The Physician Liaison is responsible for the daily operations and management of the Providers for Aurora Pavilion.
The Physician Liaison manages the day to day schedule and assignments for providers, ensures daily documentation is completed, assigns peers, ensures physician compliance with standards and by-laws are adhered to.
The Physician Liaison works directly with the Providers, Senior Leadership, CEO, Utilization Review, Social Work, medical records and financial services to ensure all aspects of provider services are maintained to include billing, coding, and discharge planning.
The Physician Liaison works directly with the Social Services Department to assist in coordinating follow-up appointments as needed, works directly with managed organizations to ensure quality patient care, collaborating with next level professionals for continuity of care, and obtaining certification for services for next level of care/ providers.
Communicates with outpatient referral sources, families/guardians, and outpatient aftercare providers.
Duties: Works directly with Senior Leadership/CEO/Medical Director to ensure documentation compliance by providers.
Orient new providers documentation requirements, billing/charge entry, etc.
Audit and reconcile billing information into EMR, counts record to ensure reconciliation with the census log, and submit weekly patient billing into the system.
Answer phone calls and coordinate patient assignments with providers daily Works directly with Utilization Review to manage the peer review process with insurance companies and assign Physician’s/APPs Assist the Medical Director, Senior Leadership, CEO and prepare schedule for physicians and APPs Works directly with Senior Leadership/CEO to ensure patient care calls are completed as assigned.
Oversees discharge summary notifications are sent to outpatient providers upon patient discharge.
Dictate discharge summaries for Aurora Pavilion providers as needed.
Manage transition of care for discharged patients via scheduling referral appointments.
Ensure Tele services are completed as scheduled.
Provides oversight and scheduling for Tele services.
Liaison is responsible for covering tele service for providers and works directly with the Medical Director, Senior Leadership and CEO to ensure tele services are provided with a representative for providers as scheduled.
Ensures all providers are up to date on core competencies, staff education, training, etc.

Implements office procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency.
Supports Sr.
Leaders and CEO with administrative tasks, scheduling, staffing, etc.
Knowledgeable of facility and community resources.
Collaborates with medical staff and community based agencies regarding evaluation, recommendation and referral disposition Works directly with front desk to enter codes for patient billing for PHP/IOP/Assessments daily Ensures patient follow-up appointments are scheduled and documented in patient records.
Engages in timely, efficient discharge planning.
Works closely with patient treatment team.
Other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership and CEO.
