Columbia Vehicle Group is seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our growing Human Resources Department in the role of Human Resources Assistant.
The Human Resource Assistant reports to the HR Manager and is responsible for the day to day operations of the HR department as well as helping to ensure company policies are adhered to and objectives met.
Job Responsibilities
Complete and verify New Hire paperwork
Assist with new hire and benefit orientations
Assist with terminations
Entering employees in HRIS
Coordinate employee reviews
Coordinate employee benefits
Coordinate employee training sessions
Help maintain HR spreadsheets
Help maintain employee profiles and files
Update and maintain company files and policies as directed by Leadership
Administer company communications
Assist recruiting with job postings and scheduling interviews
Manage employee recognition and wellness programs
Backup support of VIN Generation and Compliance
Backup support of Accounting
Other Duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor
Skill Requirements
Typing 40+ words per minute.
Knows how to use a multi-line phone system.
MUST be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
MUST be driven for success and have strong organizational skills.
Confidentiality, professionalism and business etiquette skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability and the ability to cross train to assist other departments as necessary.
Some math or accounting experience is beneficial, but not required.
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent at minimum, Associates degree is preferred.
Previous HR or Administrative experience is preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license
Time Requirements
Full Time
Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM
Must have a flexible schedule.
Compensation
$19.
50 an hour
