This position requires the candidate to possess a valid Georgia Registered Nurse or Licensed Professional Nurse license.
Provides nursing care to our program participants.
Participants are in the mild to moderate stages of dementia.
Duties involve coordinating care with other disciplines and providing instruction and assistance to members, team members, family members and the general community.
The Assistant Nurse Manager works with the Nurse Manager to ensure that all care complies with company policies and procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.

The Assistant Nurse Manager works with the Nurse Manager to ensure that all care complies with company policies and procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.
1.
Provides nursing care and administers medication to members according to individual plan of care and emergent needs, and documents clinical and progress notes on the member's record.
2.
May assist with participant assessments, observes, monitors and documents members' care and responses to programming and medications, reporting abnormalities to physician and/or family.
3.
May assist with members as needed with daily functional activities, including but not limited to, hygiene, meals, ambulation, arrivals and departures, social activities, and fitness activities.
4.
Monitor environment and programs to ensure safe environments that minimize the risk of falls.
5.
Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to members, friends, and families.
6.
Provides information to members and care team by answering questions and requests.
7.
Maintains member confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing.
8.
Monitors and audits documentation of member files.
9.
Assists with creating, reviewing, and approving monthly and quarterly care plans.
10.
Communicates with families on a quarterly basis care plan progress or changes.
11.
Assist with the assessment and care plan of prospective members for admission in the program.

Assists with health education and instruction to staff, members, family members and the general community as directed (i.
e.
infection control, disaster preparedness, elder abuse and neglect, safety in the workplace, flu vaccines and communicable disease, CPR, First Aid, HIPAA).

Maintains a cooperative relationship by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem-solving methods.
3.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
4.
Regularly monitors staff for correct nursing skills and works with employee and employee’s supervisor if corrective action is needed.

Ensures that all medical/infection control and care policies and procedures complies with company policies and procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.

Provides emergency care and prepares incident reports as required.
3.
Prepares and submits reports for any suspicion of member abuse or neglect.
4.
Contributes to disaster preparedness plans by reviewing and participating in drills.
5.
Assures quality of care by developing and interpreting center’s philosophies and standards of care; enforcing adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards; making or recommending adjustments.
6.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by implementing procedures, rules, and regulations.
7.
Assists in the protection of members and employees by implementing infection-control policies and protocols; enforcing medication administration, and storage procedures.
8.
Assists and performs duties or responsibilities as needed to support the center and our members.
Qualifications: - Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred - Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems - Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and standards of care - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.
