Position Description
The EEG Technician trainee receives training and instruction in performing electroencephalographic (EEG) examinations on outpatients or at the patient's bedside, in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Units.
Set up and assist in monitoring patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
Performs EEG exams on patients of all ages under the supervision of the EEG Technologist and the Medical Director of Neurodiagnostics.
Will be eligible for promotion to EEG Technician after 1 year with demonstrated competence in core duties and completion of all required didactic training.
Position Requirements
1 year or more of experience in direct patient care with knowledge of basic physical and biological sciences.
Current American Heart Association, Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred Requirements
1 year or more of experience in direct pediatric patient care with some experience in the neuroscience field.
Vocational or technical training or degree in healthcare (i.

, CMA, CNA, Multi-skilled Tech)
