Position Description Charge Nurses oversee the delivery of quality nursing services by working with physicians and other care providers to lement, and evaluate patients' care and provide a positive, supportive environment.
Participates in quality improvement initiatives, identifies and completes continuing education, and trains others.
This role serves as a front-line representation of the organization's quality objectives surrounding patient care, upholding confidentiality, safety, and professionalism standards.
Oversees clinical unit and manages the unit's daily workflow.
Acts as a leader for all nurses in the unit.
Ensures patient needs are addressed appropriately through the actions of registered nurses.
Acts as a conduit of information on specific cases, as needed.
Position Requirements Graduate from an accredited/approved school of nursing and 1 year or more of experience in nursing.
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).
Current Registered Nursing License (Georgia) or qualifying multi-state compact license.
Preferred Requirements Bachelor's of Nursing.
National specialty certification applicable to area of practice.
