Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Dispatch Supervisor to join our team.
The Dispatch Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dispatch center, ensuring efficient and effective communication between drivers, customers, and internal departments.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the dispatch center, including scheduling, routing, and monitoring of drivers and vehicles
- Ensure timely and accurate communication between drivers, customers, and internal departments
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve dispatch center efficiency and effectiveness
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Train, mentor, and evaluate dispatch staff, providing regular feedback and coaching to improve performance
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures
- Communicate with travel offices to obtain correct documentation and trip reports
- Receives and dispatches response and emergency support when needed
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve dispatch operations
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in dispatch, transportation, or logistics, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent managerial skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Basic understanding of geographical area and mapping programs to facilitate efficient routing
- Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
- Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure
- Must be able to work remotely
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or related field preferred.
· At least five years of related experience and execution of similar duties in Transportation, Logistics, Dispatching, Scheduling, required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

$45,000 yr
